Tuesday May 12th

Walked out of the house at 12 midday with the place like a bombsite - middle room ceiling in piles on the floor and Mike the builder attacking the back room ceiling with a chain saw. A few panels of Colourbond on the roof but most of it wide open to the elements. Fortunately the weather forecast is for more endless sunshine - not what is expected at this time but for once the weather gods obeyed us. Not sure if I will be allowed back into Coastcare.

Flight to UK uneventful - flew past a spectacular lightening storm in the middle of the - I wonder what happens if lightening hits a plane?? and in the middle of nowhere another jet passes directly underneath - maybe the pilots just like to say hello.

Watch the sun come up over somewhere - the pilot did say we would be flying over Afgahnistan and Turkmenistan and would love to know which bit we are flying over now. The on board map is not working - maybe I can work it out from Google maps.
